COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The death of an inmate at the El Paso County Jail is under investigation.
Around 5am Tuesday, a 72-year old man was found unresponsive in his cell.
In-house personnel and medical first respondents tried to perform lifesaving efforts but they were unable to resuscitate the man.
The coroner’s office will perform an autopsy and notify next-of-kin.
At this time it doesn’t appear there was any foul play.
