COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Seven-year old Kaivion Eleby was hiking on Gold Camp Road back in March when he fell roughly 100 feet to his death.
Eleby was with his mother’s ex-fiance, 28-year old Kyle McClain, at the time of the incident.
On Wednesday, McClain plead guilty to manslaughter.
He admitted to drinking alcohol before going on the hike that investigators said presented “obvious and apparent danger” to the victim.
McClain will be sentenced in February and could face up to 12 years in jail.
