SECURITY, CO – A man at the center of a lengthy standoff was wanted out of state.
Late Tuesday night the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department responded to a disturbance situation at a residence on Ocean Avenue in Security.
After hours of negotiations, 29-year old Joshua Helton surrendered and was taken into custody.
Helton was wanted on a felony charge in Texas and he’ll face additional charges stemming from Tuesday’s incident.
