Shuttle service began Friday for tourists trying to get to the top of Pikes Peak

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Shuttle service began Friday for tourists trying to get to the top of Pikes Peak.

Ongoing construction of a new visitors center at the summit means very few parking spaces.

Shuttles will now transport people to the top.

The two shuttles lots are 7 miles from the start of the Pikes Peak highway and at 16 mile.

Shuttles are expected to run every 5 to 10 minutes.
