COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A pair of teenagers are being praised for their efforts after saving a child from drowning.
Authorities were called to Prospect Lake in Memorial Park Saturday afternoon after a young kid was seen face-down in the water.
The victim’s brother entered the lake and got the child out while their sister called 911 and began CPR.
The child was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The adolescent’s guardian stepped away to grab something beforehand and told police she was unaware of the situation until she walked back to the area.
The crimes against children’s unit is handling the investigation.
No charges have been filed.
