COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Local authorities are looking for the suspects responsible for cutting down trees inside a public park.

Colorado Springs Police say six small trees were destroyed on the east side of Memorial Park sometime last week.

The crooks returned to the area Sunday night and chopped down twenty more.

Parks and Recreation says the value of the trees is roughly $13,000.
