COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Three Colorado Springs men have been arrested on first degree arson charges for starting the Chateau Fire in Teller County.
23 year old David Renfrow, 19 year old Keegan Owens, and a 17 year old minor were arrested and are in custody.
They are accused of leaving an unauthorized and unattended campfire on June 28 along forested land in the High Chateau subdivision.
Each of the suspects charged are facing 4-8 years in prison and up to a $750,000 fine.
There could be more arrests.
