The State Patrol identified two people who were killed Tuesday after a head-on collision on Highway 24 east of Falcon that involved an El Paso County Deputy.
75-year-old Kenneth Wuerfele and 71-year-old Dorothy Wuerfele were in car that collided head-on with a dump truck.
Both were from Peyton. Deputy Quinlan Linebaugh passed the couple, causing an oncoming dump truck to swerve into the car.
The driver of the dump truck, 64-year-old James Stutsman, is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
