According to a new study, Colorado Springs is one of the most expensive places for travelers to stay overnight.
A recent survey conducted by cheaphotels.org says the average cost for the most-affordable double room in the springs is $172 per evening, coming in as the fourth costliest in the state.
Boulder, Fort Collins and Aspen were the three least-affordable.
The website compared centrally located hotels with at least a three-star rating in the 20 most popular destinations in the state for the upcoming month of August.
