New Defense Policy Being Delayed

A new defense policy bill would bring more than $130 million dollars to the Colorado Springs area military bases for construction and pay raises for troops.

But the Gazette reports the policy is being delayed by President Trump’s proposed new military branch, dubbed the Space Force.

The Space Force plan is delayed for at least a year as congress discusses how to fill roles now held by Air Force Space Command in Colorado Springs.

The measure has already passed the House, and is awaiting approval in the Senate.
