No officers or neighbors were injured after a very tense situation in northeastern Colorado Springs.
Police were called to the Villages at Springs Ranch complex near Peterson and Barnes Tuesday afternoon after reports of gunfire.
The suspect eventually barricaded himself inside a unit for hours before officers say he shot himself.
The adult male was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
