The coroner’s office has confirmed the human remains found in northwestern El Paso County are that of 20-year-old Kevin Rudnicki.
He disappeared after he went hiking over the Labor Day weekend in the Mount Herman area west of Monument.
His skeletal remains were located last week by a search team.
The cause and manner of Rudnicki’s death hasn’t been determined yet.
