An officer-involved shooting east of Colorado Springs has been ruled justified.
In July, law enforcement was informed that 46-year-old Gustova Del-Sol Sanchez had been fatally shot.
Authorities began investigating and it led them to an illegal marijuana operation in El Paso County.
A deputy confronted an armed man at that location, identified as 18-year-old William Bacorn, and shot him dead.
The District Attorney’s office ruled the deputy, C. Wheat, acted in self-defense.
Last month, two men were charged with murder in the death of Sanchez.
