Blizzard conditions paralyzed parts of the Pikes Peak region Tuesday morning.
Snow, and wind gusts over 40 miles per hour forced the closure of Highway 83 between Flying Horse Drive and Franktown.
Highway 24 was also shut down between the Springs and Limon.
All major school districts in the area were also closed.
Most flights out of the Springs Airport were on time, but at DIA there were some delays of more than an hour.
Better weather is forecast for Wednesday with sunny skies and a high in the mid 40’s.
