Two neglected horses are recovering in a boarding facility after being seized in El Paso County.
Deputies found the two farm animals severely emaciated at a property on Paint Mine Road, southeast of Calhan, over the weekend.
The caretaker, 62-year-old Alison Dixon, is now facing two counts of animal cruelty.
