There has been a break in a cold-case in Fremont county.
Jeffery Smith was arrested in connection to the murder of 23-year-old Remzi Nesfield 12 years ago.
Nesfield’s remains were found by a hiker just last year, in western Freemont County.
The El Paso County Coroner determined that Nesfield died from a gunshot wound to the head.
