Troubling times at the El Paso County Jail.
They announced Tuesday morning they have reached a critical point for inmate population.
Right now the jail is holding 1880 prisoners.
Additional beds have been brought in to accommodate in the increased numbers.
Part of the problem is the jail holds inmates and prisoners that are brought in by 8 agencies in the Pikes Peak region.
Overcrowding has been an ongoing issue at the El Paso County Jail.
