A major winter storm is affecting the Pikes Peak Region.
Blizzard warnings are in effect for northern El Paso County, expected snow fall in the area is 3-8 inches.
A big problem will be the winds, 30 to 40 mph winds with gusts up to 70 mph.
Blowing and drifting snow will limit visibilities north and east of downtown Colorado Springs.
There is expected to be about 1-2 inches within the city.
2-4 inches could fall in the Briargate area through Thursday and 4-8 inches are possible for Black Forest, Monument and Palmer Lake.
Thursday will bring more snow showers and a high only in the 30’s. Expect plenty of delays Thursday morning.
