A person reportedly took his own life Wednesday morning after a standoff in the Springs.
Colorado Springs Police surrounded a building where an individual barricaded himself at 27th and Colorado.
That person fired at officers, but no first responders were hurt.
The Colorado Springs Tactical Unit was able to get inside and found the person dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
No police officers fired a shot during the standoff.
The deceased person has not been identified and authorities have not said how the incident began.
