An Air Force Academy cadet has been convicted of rape.
20 year old Alvaro Velarde was found guilty following a four-day jury trial at U.S. District Court in Denver.
Velarde was first charged last October. According to court documents, Velarde violently raped a female cadet in her dorm room.
Velarde was removed from the Air Force Academy before the trial started.
