Kanda Calef, a former Republican candidate for Colorado Springs City Council, faces a felony menacing charge after allegedly brandishing a pistol at a U.S. Marshal in the I-25 gap construction zone.
Calef is free on bail and will be in Douglas county court June 19th to enter a plea.
Calef was arrested April 10th after the marshal reported that a woman in a van “had flashed a handgun at him”.
If convicted of the felony charge, Calef would not be allowed to own firearms.
