Excessive vehicle speed is a problem in Colorado Springs.
Last October, CSPD was awarded a grant through CDOT for speed enforcement.
The effort is called “Slow Down, Colorado Springs”.
Through the first nine months of the grant, police issued 1,500 traffic citations.
