Woman Arrested in Burglary of $600,000 in Jewelry

A woman is in custody in connection with a burglary that resulted in $600,000 of stolen jewelry.

In May, Colorado Springs Police visited a home in the Broadmoor neighborhood after a woman reported that thousands of dollars of jewelry had been stolen.

A few months later, 39-year-old Elizabeth Bischoff tried to sell the jewelry to a buyer in Denver.

She was arrested Monday for burglary and theft.

Bischoff was a house sitter for the victim.
