The trial for a former El Paso County Deputy accused of causing a crash that killed two people is underway.
Quinlan Linebaugh faces charges of careless driving causing death and careless driving causing injury.
Linebaugh allegedly tried to pass two vehicles on Highway 24 in July of 2018, moving into the path of a dump truck on the other side of the highway.
The dump truck skidded, crashing into a car and killing two people.
Two other people were injured in the crash.
