A man is in jail after he took the purse of an elderly woman as she walked into a church.
Robert Keeny was arrested Saturday about an hour after the purse snatching at Pikes Peak Metropolitan Church.
Keeny reportedly made incriminating statements to officers as they were questioning him about the crime.
He’s charged with robbery, assault and menacing.
Police were able to return the stolen purse to its owner.
