Ordered evacuations are expanding Wednesday morning after the Decker fire approached several neighborhoods Tuesday night.
The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office issued an evacuation order for those living between county roads 110 and 104 and south of county roads 111 and 107, which includes Methodist Mountain Estates, Boot Hill, Pinon Ridge Estates and Mountain Vista Village Trailer Park.
They have also added the Fawn Ridge Estates.
People in the evacuation area are asked to go to the Chaffee County Fairgrounds.
The fire has burned over 2200 acres and fire officials say it is 5% contained.
A type one incident management team is taking control of fire operations Friday of this week.
