More details emerging from Wednesday’s deadly rollover crash on Pikes Peak Avenue near South Academy.
Colorado Springs Police say a 14-year-old boy was killed after he took an SUV from a relative without permission.
Authorities tried pulling the vehicle over, but the SUV took off at a high rate of speed.
Just minutes later police were called to a rollover crash where they found the boy deceased.
Officials say a lack of driving experience is likely the cause of the crash.
A witness reported seeing someone run away from the scene but authorities are not confirming that.
