Firefighters mopped up the last of a house fire that started at about 3:30 Thursday morning in the 7400 block of Silverdale Street in Security-Widefield.
Fire officials say it appears to have started on the second floor of the home.
El Paso County Sheriff’s officials said there are no injuries reported due to the fire.
The incident commander said there were some challenges with the freezing temperatures.
County trucks had to come out and use sand to make a path for fire trucks to get in.
