Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser wants more money for the state’s Safe-2-Tell program.
The attorney general submitted his budget requests to state lawmakers last week and asked for an additional $130,000 for the program, which takes anonymous tips about possible violence in Colorado schools.
Weiser said the money would make up a shortfall in the program’s current funding.
He also asked for more than $350,000 to hire three more administrators to help with the workload in the attorney general’s office.
