Colorado Springs is joining a public safety communications platform.
The city says the Firstnet Platform will help them make sure first responders get critical information while out on calls.
Deputy Chief of Staff Bret Waters says Firstnet’s network is always on and will give them a reliable connection regardless of network congestion.
The system will support the city’s Smart COS initiatives with a program specifically built for police, fire, and EMTs.
