Police have caught the man who shot an off-duty Denver Police officer Wednesday morning at a convenience store in suburban Arvada.
The officer reportedly interrupted an armed robbery of a store at 80th and Kipling.
The officer was off-duty at the time of the shooting is expected to be ok.
A tip from the public led other officers to the suspect’s SUV.
A rarely-used “blue alert” was sent to cellphones statewide.
About 2 hours after the car was found, the suspect was arrested in the same parking lot.
Charges in the case could include attempted first-degree murder and robbery.
