State lawmakers get back to work this week, as the 2020 session of the Colorado legislature kicks off.
For the second year in a row, democrats are in control of both chambers.
One of the top items on their agenda will be a bill on paid family leave, which failed in the 2019 session.
Democrats could also make another push at getting rid of the death penalty in Colorado.
The session starts on Wednesday, January 8th.
