The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region is asking for more money from the city of Colorado Springs.
The group filed a supplemental funding request Monday seeking $100,000.
The Humane Society says the money is needed for staff raises, additional staff and other expenses.
The city council will consider the request in two weeks.
