U.S. Forest Service officials report a wildfire was discovered late Tuesday evening. The blaze is located in Huerfano County 11 miles northeast of Gardner and 5 miles west of Rye. Right now it’s 20 acres in size. Crews are on the scene. It’s too early to know how the fire started. Smoke was seen by local residents, who called it in last night.
