COLORADO SPRINGS – A Colorado Springs-based organization is trying to help military spouses find work. The “Military Spouse Career Coalition” says the husband or wife of active-duty military personnel have an unemployment rate of about 24-percent. The group says a lot of them take jobs which don’t match their skill set in an effort to make money and in some cases, families are moving on a regular basis, making it harder to find work.
