PUEBLO – The Pueblo Police are investigating after an officer was involved in a shooting early Friday morning. Reportedly, an officer was investigating a stolen vehicle at about 2:00 a.m. and when he approached a man in the drivers seat. The officer may have been dragged before he fired shots at the driver.
The driver is dead and a woman in the car was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. the officer has minor injuries.
Pueblo police say East 4th St. is closed in both directions between Queens and Troy for the investigation.Avoid the area and plan on taking an alternate route.
