A variance to open certain businesses submitted by Fremont County has been approved by state officials. As of Thursday morning restaurants, fitness centers, outdoor tourism attractions, places of worship and recreational facilities can open. Restaurants can begin dine in service. All those businesses must implement social distancing guidelines, and will limit customers. It’s an important decision for tourist attractions in Fremont County, home to the Royal Gorge, helicopter tours and whitewater rafting.
