Colorado Springs Police Chief Vince Niski says the department is aware of a video on social media showing officers punching a suspect on the ground during one of the late-night demonstrations. The video shows a man being ordered to the ground and a struggle taking place while they were attempting to handcuff him. Officers are seen punching the man repeatedly. According to the chief, the incident is under review to determine if any laws or department policies were broken during the arrest. If it’s determined to have been a violation, he says the approprate actions will be taken.
