A federal lawsuit has been filed against the City of Colorado and 2 springs police officers by the estate of De’von Bailey, the 19 year old who was shot and killed by springs police officers while fleeing in August of 2019. The civil lawsuit names springs officers SGT Alan Van’t Land and Officer Blake Evenson, who shot Bailey as he ran after police were questioning Bailey and another man about a robbery. It was filed in U.S. District Court in Denver.
