Police in Monument are searching for three suspects accused of shooting at a homeowner who tried to stop them from burglarizing his vehicle. Officers responded to reports of gunshots at a home in the 17000 block of Pawnee Valley Trail early Wednesday morning. Police say the homeowner found the suspects inside his vehicle in the driveway and confronted them. One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and fired three shots at the man. No one was injured and the suspects fled in a dark-colored sedan. Several unlocked vehicles in the neighborhood were also burglarized.
