After Governor Jared Polis announced a mask ordinance for everyone in Colorado the El Paso County Sheriffs department came out and said they would not enforce the mandate. The departments stance is they want to educate the public on the benefits of wearing a face covering. However, if customers in stores refuse to wear masks the department says they will answer those calls with customers facing a citation.
