The gap is closing in the race for a Colorado Senate seat

COLORADO SPRINGS – A new poll here in Colorado is showing the senate race is tightening between Senator Cory Gardner and former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper. Hickenlooper leads Gardner 48% to 42% in a survey done by the “Morning Consult.”

The former governor may have a small lead, but Gardner has been gaining ground. The survey questioned 600-Coloradans in mid-July. It has a margin of error plus or minus of four-percent.

A debate between the two candidates running for the U.S. Senate seat is scheduled to take place in Pueblo.  The two candidates are debating each other on October 2nd, at 7:00 p.m. at Pueblo Community College.  The Pueblo Chieftain is sponsoring the event and providing the moderator.  No live audience is being permitted due to Covid-19, but it will be live-streamed and broadcast on several public access channels.
