El Paso County – For the time being, El Paso County won’t be losing any of its variances for businesses in the Pikes Peak region. The state health department says the county’s three-day average of new Coronavirus cases dropped just enough to prevent any new restrictions or rollbacks.
The variances allow more customers at restaurants, gyms, other businesses, and even churches. County officials had to submit mitigation plans to state officials and as long as our numbers don’t rise, the variances can stay in place.
4,404 cases of Covid-19 have been diagnosed in El Paso County since March. 130-people have died as a result of the virus. You’re reminded to wash your hands regularly, stay socially distanced and wear a mask.
