COLORADO SPRINGS – You may have noticed that Bear Creek Dog Park was closed on Thursday if you went to take your pet for a run. The Colorado Springs police received a phone call about some type of shooting at the park just before 2:00 p.m.
When officers from the Gold Hill division arrived, they found a man dead in the parking lot. His identity is not being released at this time and police say his death is being investigated as a possible suicide. There is no threat to the public and operations are back to normal at the park.
