Pueblo carjacker found sleeping on the job

PUEBLO – One teenager is in jail and another is on the run after a carjacking on Saturday in pueblo. Police found and arrested one of the two men involved in the carjacking after they spotted him sleeping in the stolen car behind a motel in north Pueblo early Sunday morning.

Police say officers found it peculiar the man was in the car asleep when plenty of rooms were available at the motel. The car had no rear license plate, but officer’s were able to track down the vehicle as stolen when they ran the front plate. Two men reportedly used a sawed-off shotgun in the crime and the weapon was found on the front seat of the car.

The man arrested has not been identified yet and no information on the second suspect has been released as of Monday morning.
