DENVER – A Colorado group is saying, “Shut it down, start over and do it right,” in response to the state’s handling of the Coronavirus pandemic. Members of CoPIRG in Denver, say they’re pleased with the fact that Colorado was one of the first states to shut down in March, but they believe the efforts to control the virus have failed and they want something done about it.
CoPIRG not only wants to see the entire state shut down again, they want to see a ban on non-essential travel on Colorado’s highways. They’ve also requested a mandatory quarantine period for anyone entering the state from an area experiencing high Covid-19 case numbers.
Colorado saw a surge in numbers of cases recently, but in the last week, those numbers have dropped statewide. You can read CoPIRG’s statement by clicking here.
