COLORADO SPRINGS – Nine Colorado Springs police officers and staff members are currently being punished or they’re being counseled after violating department rules by working for a Teller County private investigator.
In a recent article and by the Colorado Springs Independent, the nine employees were investigated by Internal Affairs and they were found to have violated seven different police department policies. According to the Indy, four of the employees were suspended, three received reprimands, and two others received verbal counseling. Included in the reprimands, were four detectives and one sergeant, who were reassigned to patrol duties as a result of the investigation.
