Colorado has joined at least 19 other states in filing a federal lawsuit in Washington against the Postal Service for the drastic changes they’ve made in the last 3 weeks. Louis Dejoy was named new postmaster and immediately made changes many say will affect the counting of mail in ballots on election day. In Denver 5 delivery bar code sorters were taken offline, and around the country hundreds of blue community mail boxes were locked. Dejoy said in a Tuesday statement he is suspending further initiaves to avoid any appearance of having an impact on the election. Dejoy has said these moves are an effort to get an over-budget United States Postal Service under control.
