DENVER – Colorado Governor Jared Polis is now facing his second recall effort since taking office. The first took place a year ago. He fired back at the organizers of the latest recall effort during his Coronavirus update Tuesday.

“We’re not gonna allow any election, there’s an election coming up, petitions recalls, we’re never gonna let any of that distract us from growing Colorado’s economy from moving forward,”

The new recall effort was approved for signature gathering on Monday. The group has until November 13th, to collect over 630,000 signatures for the petition and they believe they have enough momentum behind them this time around to force the recall. Last year, the recall effort collected less than half the more than 600,000 signatures needed.
