Suicide calls to Safe To Tell up

According to the Denver Post, new numbers compiled by the State of Colorado show threats of suicide were up in the latest report of the “Safe to Tell” program. The system allows for anonymous phone calls from school kids or staff if they hear of a threat to a school or to themselves. For 2019-2020 the number of calls actually dropped, but authorities say the number of calls for students at risk of suicide actually went up 4%. The post is studying what kind of public accountability there is after a phone call is made to the system.
